Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
Oversee and mentor a team of engineers across mechanical and electrical disciplines to deliver high-quality, compliant, and on-time project results.
Set performance and development objectives for team members and monitor progress.
Ensure alignment of engineering activities with organizational goals and client expectations.
Project Planning & Execution:
Lead the engineering design and project execution processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
Collaborate with other department heads to achieve seamless project delivery from concept to commissioning.
Technical Expertise:
Serve as the technical authority within the organization, providing guidance on complex engineering challenges.
Ensure all engineering designs and documentation comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Maintain knowledge of the latest technologies, best practices, and trends within the oil and gas industry.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Drive adherence to ISO and ASME standards and oversee quality assurance/quality control procedures.
Develop and implement robust processes for design review, technical audits, and compliance inspections.
Manage and lead investigations into any technical issues or failures and provide corrective action plans.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, vendors, and clients, to maintain open communication and alignment on project goals.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations, reports, and project updates to senior management and clients.
Foster strong relationships with suppliers and contractors to optimize procurement and resource allocation.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. A Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration is preferred.
Minimum of15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience managing large-scale engineering projects, preferably across both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
Comprehensive understanding of engineering codes, safety regulations, and quality standards specific to the oil and gas sector.
