​Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings or plan the layout of the irrigation network.

• Cut, assemble, and install pipes and drip tubes with attention to existing infrastructure

(e.g. electrical wiring)

• Repair issues of drip lines in experimental sites (e.g. leaks)

• Installation of water pumps.

• Cleaning of existing water storage tanks (Zinc Alum, GRP and Plastic)

• Flushing and cleaning of irrigation lines.

• Collection of flowmeters reading

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a plumber.

• Solid understanding of automatic irrigation systems.

• Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)

• Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in hard weather conditions.
